Carol Burnett, who celebrated her 90th birthday on April 26, 2024, was recognized with a special two-hour show on NBC called *Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love*. Before the celebration, Burnett did many interviews, including one with *PEOPLE* where she talked about her feelings regarding her deceased daughter.
Carrie Hamilton. Carrie, who was an actress and singer, died of cancer in 2002 when she was 38 years old. Burnett remembers Carrie’s advice every day. “Every morning I wake up and make a choice.” They worked together on a play called *Hollywood Arms*, which was inspired by Burnett’s life story. Carrie didn’t get to see it finished, but Burnett completed it as a tribute to her.
