1 pound of ground beef or Italian sausage
1 onion, cut into small pieces 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 can (28 ounces) tomato sauce
4 cups of beef broth
2 cups of dry pasta (such as lasagna noodles, broken into smaller pieces)
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
1 teaspoon of dried basil
1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes (if desired)
Add salt and pepper as desired.
1 cup of ricotta cheese
1 cup of grated mozzarella cheese
Fresh basil leaves to decorate.

Guidelines

In a big pot or a large cooking pot, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage until it turns brown on medium heat. Remove any extra fat if needed.
Put the chopped onion and minced garlic in the pot. Cook them until the onion looks clear.
Add the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes (if desired), and season with salt and pepper. Heat until boiling.
Put the dry pasta in the pot and cook for 8-10 minutes following the instructions on the package until it is firm to the bite.
Take the pot off the stove and mix in the ricotta cheese until it is well blended.
Serve the soup hot with melted mozzarella cheese and fresh basil leaves on top.
You can use Italian sausage instead of ground beef for more taste.
Taste the food and add more salt or spices if needed. You can also include extra vegetables such as spinach or zucchini.
