List of items needed:
Dumplings
8 ounces of ground pork
1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger
1 small spoon of brown sugar
2 green onions, cut into small pieces.
24 square wonton wrappers that are 3½ inches each.
SOUP
6 cups of chicken broth, which is equal to 1,440 grams.
1 and a half teaspoons of minced garlic
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
2-3 green onions, chopped into small pieces
Getting ready.
Dumplings
In a big bowl mix pork with rice wine, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar, and onion. Stir thoroughly.
Put a large spoonful of filling in the middle of each wonton wrapper.
Wet the edges with water and fold the corners together, pressing to remove any extra air. (It should have a triangular shape).
Raise a little the longer side of the wonton. Fold the edges in different directions and press down firmly to close, using your finger to make a gap and moistening the edges when necessary.
Finish making the rest of the wontons and set them aside while you get the soup ready.
SOUP
In a medium pot on medium heat, put chicken broth, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and chopped green onions.
In another big pot, heat around 4 quarts of water until it boils. When the water is hot, put the wontons in and cook for 5 minutes.
Drain the wontons and put them in the hot broth. Heat before serving.
