List of items needed:
1 cup of soft butter without salt
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of packed brown sugar
2 big eggs
1 small spoon of vanilla flavor
2 and a half cups of all-purpose flour
1 small spoon of baking soda
Half a teaspoon of salt
1 cup of oats
1 cup of chocolate chips that are not too sweet
1 cup of chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1 cup of grated coconut (if desired)
Steps:
Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and cover baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a big bowl, mix the soft butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Put the eggs in one by one, mixing well each time, and then add the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt using a whisk. Slowly pour this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until they are just mixed.
Mix the oats, chocolate chips, nuts, and coconut (if you have it) until everything is evenly spread out.
Place spoonfuls of dough on the baking sheets, leaving a 2-inch space between each one.
Cook in the oven that has been preheated for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the middle is firm.
Take the cookies out of the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before moving them to wire racks to cool completely.
