List of items needed:

1 pound of Italian sausage

1 pound of ground beef without fat

1/2 cup of chopped onion

2 packets of onion soup mix (1 ounce each), divided

8 ounces of small mushrooms

4 carrots cut into slices

1 cup of diced celery

Bag of baby potatoes weighing 0.75 pounds.

1 can of small diced tomatoes in the Italian style, 14 ounces.

5 cups of beef broth

3 tablespoons of vinegar made from red wine

Steps to follow:

In a pan, cook the Italian sausage and lean ground beef until browned. Remove extra fat and put it in the slow cooker.

Put chopped onions and one packet of onion soup mix into the slow cooker.

Put the mushrooms in the slow cooker.

Put the cut carrots and celery in the slow cooker.

Put the cut baby potatoes into the mixture. In a bowl, combine the rest of the onion soup mix with the beef broth. Put this blend into the crockpot.
